UEFA rejects Ireland's request to avoid Israel in draws

UEFA has rejected Ireland's request to avoid Israel in future draws, FAI chief executive David Courell said. UEFA said its 'do not draw' list covers direct conflicts between nations, not public sentiment. Ireland and Israel meet in the Nations League on 27 September and 4 October. Ireland will fulfil the fixtures after delegates backed proceeding in July.
