Duncan Sheik, 'Barely Breathing' singer and Spring Awakening composer, dies at 56

Duncan Sheik died on Thursday aged 56. His mother Suzanne confirmed the death to the New York Times. Rolling Stone reported the cause as organ failure. Sheik sang the 1996 hit "Barely Breathing" and composed Spring Awakening, which won Best Musical at the 2007 Tony Awards.
