Brian Sorensen set to join Ireland as assistant coach for World Cup play-offs

Former Everton manager Brian Sorensen is set to join the Republic of Ireland as assistant coach for their Women's World Cup play-off qualifiers, according to the BBC.

He will work under Carla Ward and link up during the international break, while staying on as Aston Villa Women technical director.

Ireland face Kazakhstan over two legs on 9 and 13 October.
