Switch 2 becomes fastest-selling US hardware, topping PS4

Nintendo Switch 2 is the fastest-selling video game hardware in US history, passing PlayStation 4. Eurogamer reported on 18 September 2026 that sales reached nearly 20 million almost one year after release. Nintendo of America COO Devon Pritchard told Variety: "We're at the beginning of Nintendo Switch 2."
