Exeter become first Premiership club controlled by US group in £25m takeover

Exeter Chiefs became the first English Premiership — the top flight of English club rugby union — side controlled by a US-based group after Black Knight completed its takeover at the end of June. The deal worth about £25m ended the club's time as a members-owned organisation, the BBC reported 18 September.
