
Australia Overhauls Capital Gains Tax With Inflation Adjustment and New Floor
From July 2027, Australia replaces its flat 50% discount with an inflation-adjusted cost basis and 30% minimum tax floor. The government raised the small business threshold to $10 million in June 2026, preserving relief for 98% of businesses.
