Duchess of Edinburgh wakes to hippo outside tent in Lower Zambezi

The Duchess of Edinburgh woke in the small hours at the Lower Zambezi camp in Zambia to find herself face to face with a hippopotamus outside her tent. She said it was as close as if it had been sitting on the chair outside her tent door. She moved her bedsheet and exchanged looks with the animal.
