Mazama Energy raises $135M to scale superhot geothermal power

Mazama Energy raised $135 million in an oversubscribed Series B, a second startup round with demand exceeding supply, led by Centaurus Capital and Doerr Capital to scale commercial superhot geothermal, which taps ultra-hot rock for more power. Backers include ConocoPhillips, Shell Ventures, existing investors Khosla Ventures and Gates Frontier, plus new SiteGround Capital and H. Barton Asset Management.
