U.S. Approves Smaller Iranian Delegation for U.N. Assembly Week

The U.S. will admit Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and essential staff for U.N. General Assembly High-Level Week in New York, Sept. 22-29, the State Department said Sept. 17. Washington pointed to its host-country duties, the requirement to admit delegates, but approved a smaller group. Enforcement of movement limits will shape sideline talks.
