Disney names Adam Smith sole streaming chief

Disney has put Adam Smith in sole charge of streaming as chairman of direct-to-consumer, meaning services sold straight to viewers, Variety reported. He will oversee Disney+ and Hulu, ending the co-presidency with Joe Earley, with both reporting to Dana Walden, Variety said.
