Oldenburg opens 33rd edition with documentary for first time

Strange Neighbors received its world premiere as the opening-night film of the Oldenburg International Film Festival, The Hollywood Reporter reported on 17 September 2026. It is the first documentary to open the festival in its history, according to Filmfest Oldenburg. The 2026 edition is the festival's 33rd, Filmfest Oldenburg said.
