Meryl Streep will voice Aslan in Greta Gerwig's Narnia: The Magician's Nephew, Gerwig confirmed to Empire in a cover story, as reported by Variety. Gerwig said she wanted the voice actor to be older than 70, Variety reported. The film opens in theatres on 12 February 2027 before landing on Netflix on 2 April, according to Variety.
