Planned Washington Commanders stadium leaves gap to frame US Capitol dome

The Washington Commanders American football team in Washington, DC and design firm HKS have released interior renderings showing the planned stadium's seating bowl — the tiered stands around the field — opening at one end to frame the US Capitol dome. The team published the images on 16 September 2026.
