Exeter winger Campbell Ridl out for most of season with torn ACL

Exeter Chiefs winger Campbell Ridl will miss most of the season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament, the knee's stabilising band, with cartilage damage in the opening pre-season loss to Scarlets. Rob Baxter told BBC Sport recovery will exceed six months. The 21-year-old England Under-20 scored 17 tries in 24 games last season, BBC Sport reports.
