Nvidia, Google Back Alliance for Grid-Friendly AI Data Centers

NVIDIA, Google and Emerald AI launched the AI Energy Management Alliance on September 16, 2026 to make AI data centers more flexible on power use. Members would shift computing tasks to off-peak times, tap on-site batteries, reduce draw during peak demand, and support the grid in outages or emergencies.
