Alpine appoints ex-Mercedes chief Mike Elliott as CTO

Alpine has appointed former Mercedes technical chief Mike Elliott, 52, as chief technical officer. The Renault-owned team confirmed the hire on 17 September 2026. Elliott, who left Mercedes in October 2023, spent more than a decade at Brackley as head of aerodynamics, technical director and chief technical officer.
