Joe Salisbury retires aged 34 after final US Open run

Joe Salisbury, Britain's most successful men's doubles player of the Open Era, has retired aged 34. He closed with a US Open semi-final alongside Rajeev Ram. The former world No.1 leaves with six Grand Slam doubles titles and 17 tour-level titles. He said he had been thinking about retiring for a while and was very happy with the decision.
