Disney appoints Sonia Rovai to lead Italian original production

Disney has appointed Sonia Rovai vice-president of original production in Italy, Variety reported. She will lead Disney+'s Italian team and report to Angela Jain, head of content for Disney+ EMEA. She will oversee scripted — written drama and comedy — and unscripted, meaning reality and documentary, originals plus production management and business affairs.
