Universal and Warner ask court to dismiss musicians' AI lawsuit

Universal Music Group and Warner Records filed reply briefs on September 11 asking the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to dismiss the American Federation of Musicians lawsuit, Music Business Worldwide reported. The union challenges the majors' licensing deals with AI firms Suno and Udio. The filings completed briefing on dismissal.
