Dolly Parton's taped Americana acceptance played after death

Dolly Parton's pre-taped acceptance for the 2026 Americana Lifetime Achievement Award was played after her death at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Sept. 16, Rolling Stone reported. Emmylou Harris introduced the video. Parton, who died on Aug. 25 aged 80, had been named as recipient on Aug. 6 by the Americana Music Association.
