Miike says he blamed original to make Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo freely

Director Takashi Miike said via translator in Deadline's Toronto Studio interview that it is quite difficult in Japan to make sensational films like Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, Deadline reported. He said he worked freely by treating the idea as coming from the original film and putting responsibility on its producer and director, Deadline reported.
