Oxford mathematician says Parthenon optical corrections never existed

A mathematician at the University of Oxford in England argues the Parthenon in Athens has no optical corrections — tiny bends added to make a building look straight. The study in Royal Society Open Science in London says proposed effects are unsupported or too small to matter, The Guardian reported on 16 September 2026.
