U.S. House unanimously holds Leon Black in criminal contempt

The U.S. House of Representatives in Washington voted unanimously on 16 September 2026 to hold billionaire art collector Leon Black in criminal contempt of Congress, the charge for defying a lawful order, after he defied two subpoenas, legally binding orders, from the House Oversight Committee in its Jeffrey Epstein investigation, Reuters and The New York Times reported.
