Prince Royce says no bachata album nominated for Best Merengue/Bachata Album

Prince Royce posted an open letter on Instagram Stories after Latin Grammy nominations were announced on Sept. 16. He stated that none of the five Best Merengue/Bachata Album nominees is a bachata album, estimating only about 15% of the music is bachata. He asked: if bachata is in the name of the category, where is the representation of bachata?
