Proposed US credit offers 20% labour break, up to 30% with bonuses

Producer Steven Paul has detailed a proposed US federal tax credit worth 20% of labour costs on film and TV shoots, rising to 30% with two 5% uplifts, according to Deadline. Paul said the four uplifts under discussion cover depressed areas, independent films, repatriated shoots and multi-state shoots. The plan aims to curb runaway production, meaning shoots leaving the US.
