Matthew Lillard says he is ashamed to have joined Scream 7 after Barrera firing

Matthew Lillard told a 30th-anniversary "Scream" screening he feels "ashamed" to have reprised Stu Macher in "Scream 7" after Melissa Barrera's firing, Variety reported. He said he is "on the wrong side of history", called the firing "bullshit" and said Barrera is "on the right side of history", Variety reported.
