Al-Taawoun handed two-game stadium ban over Jota chants

Al-Taawoun have been ordered to play their next two Saudi Pro League home games behind closed doors, with fans locked out. The punishment followed “Jota” chants aimed at Al-Hilal midfielder Rúben Neves. Jota, his former Wolves and Portugal teammate, died in a car crash in summer 2025. The club were also fined 100,000 riyals (£19,796).
