U.N. General Assembly pauses to honor late Norwegian King Harald V

The U.N. General Assembly paused its 81st session in New York to honor Norway's King Harald V, who died Aug. 26. President Khalilur Rahman led a moment of silence and offered condolences to the royal family and Norway. He praised Harald's 'openness and a deep appreciation for humanity in all its diversity.' Regional groups also spoke.
