Pete Alonso hits 300th homer to tie game against ex-team Mets

Pete Alonso hit his 300th career homer for Baltimore on Sept. 15, a ninth-inning tying solo shot against his former team in the Orioles' 7-5, 11-inning win at Citi Field. The 414-foot drive off Kodai Senga tied it 3-3. The Guardian reported Baltimore was two outs from falling four games back of Cleveland for the final AL playoff spot.
