Indonesian book longlisted for US National Book Award in translation for first time

Indonesian has entered the US National Book Award for Translated Literature for the first time. The National Book Foundation announced a 10-title longlist, the first public cut before finalists, spanning seven source languages from 159 submissions, the Foundation said. Finalists in all five categories will be revealed on 6 October.
