Iranian state media accused Laleh Marzban of treason after she dedicated her Orizzonti Best Actress prize at Venice on 12 September to “the women of my country”, Deadline reported. A Basij-aligned channel said she turned her back on Iran, while other regime-backed outlets called for a return ban, Deadline reported.
