Sony's Pulse Edge Headset Adds Stronger Drivers, Noise Cancellation

Sony announced the Pulse Edge wireless headset for PS5 on September 15, 2026. It uses custom planar magnetic drivers — flat sound panels — with twice the magnets of the standard Pulse. It also includes active noise cancellation, which quiets background sound, and a detachable boom mic for voice chat.
