Formula 1 to stage 10 sprint races in 2027

Formula 1 will stage 10 sprint races in the 2027 World Championship, up from the previous maximum of six. A sprint — a short Saturday race before Sunday's grand prix — adds extra points and a second start. The 2027 season is scheduled to start in Bahrain on 12-14 March.
