Hands Up wins Seriesly Berlin Writers' Pitch Award

Hands Up has won the Writers' Pitch Award at Seriesly Berlin, Deadline reported on 16 September 2026. The U.S.-originated music drama pitch, created by Neta Weiner, Samira Saraya and Michal Cooper Keren, centres on Israeli musician Geva and Palestinian singer Manal in Berlin's hip-hop scene. It beat pitches from Ireland, Germany, Serbia and the UK for the €1,000 prize.
