Met in New York breaks ground on Tang Wing for 2030 opening

The Art Newspaper reported the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York broke ground on 15 September on the Tang Wing for Modern and Contemporary Art. The five-storey, 126,000-sq-ft building by Mexican architect Frida Escobedo is scheduled to open in 2030. The museum says it has raised US$670 million for building and operation.
