American Idol to move production from Hollywood to Georgia

Fremantle, which produces and distributes American Idol, confirmed to NBCLA the show will move production from Hollywood to Georgia after more than two decades in California. The ABC series plans an Atlanta-area base, with a studio deal in final talks but unsigned.
