
MacKay skipped novel and 1995 film for Sense and Sensibility role
George MacKay told The Hollywood Reporter he did not read Jane Austen's novel before playing Edward Ferrars in Georgia Oakley's Sense and Sensibility. He told The Hollywood Reporter he skipped Ang Lee's 1995 film to avoid pressure and let Diana Reid's script lead him. He told The Hollywood Reporter he will watch it after the premiere.
