Savannah DeMelo sues UofL Health over on-field cardiac arrest

Racing Louisville midfielder Savannah DeMelo has sued UofL Health and two doctors for negligence, The Guardian reported on 15 September 2026. The complaint alleges failure to diagnose a heart condition before her cardiac arrest at Seattle on 14 September 2025. It claims UofL Health "failed to act as a reasonably prudent and competent medical practice".
