Division One leaders Somerset stumbled chasing a first County Championship title, closing day one at Headingley on 68 for five, 144 behind Yorkshire's 212. Somerset slipped to 24 for four in reply. Captain Lewis Gregory took 3-46 and Migael Pretorius 3-51, while Ben Cliff claimed 3-31 for Yorkshire on 15 September.
