Emmys could become second EGOT show to leave network TV

Amazon is in talks with the Television Academy over an Emmys deal from 2027, Deadline confirmed on 15 September after Variety first reported it. If struck, the Emmys would be the second EGOT, meaning Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony, show to leave network TV, per The Hollywood Reporter. The Oscars move to YouTube in 2029 under a five-year deal.
