Fremantle confirmed to Deadline that American Idol will leave Los Angeles for the Atlanta area for Season 25, premiering in the new year on ABC. Per Deadline, Georgia offers up to 30% tax credit for unscripted shows spending $500,000-plus. Deadline reported Idol did not qualify for California's expanded credit.
