Space Force Says Russia Developing Nuclear-Capable Satellite

Russia is developing a satellite built to carry a nuclear weapon, the U.S. Space Force said Sept. 15. The assessment came with the Pentagon's first confirmation it has weapons stationed in orbit — space-control systems to block attacks — to defend the Joint Force, the combined U.S. services, from hostile action.
