Studios, unions and lawmakers press Congress for urgent federal shoot incentive

Studios, unions and bipartisan lawmakers pressed Congress for urgent federal film and TV tax incentive action, Deadline reported 15 September 2026. The Motion Picture Association organised the call, with Chairman Charles Rivkin, Reps Laura Friedman and Brian Jack and Sen Adam Schiff backing draft legislation to keep shoots in the U.S., according to Deadline.
