Emmys in advanced talks to move to Prime Video

Variety reported the Television Academy is in advanced talks to move the Emmy telecast to Amazon Prime Video. A deal would take the ceremony off broadcast TV for the first time since 1949, according to the report. Academy chair Cris Abrego said conversations on a new TV deal are continuing. No deal is signed.
