April Walker previews September 2027 book at Detroit footwear forum

April Walker, founder of Walker Wear, previewed her upcoming book at the 2026 Black Footwear Forum in Detroit, WWD, the trade publication, reported. The book is tentatively titled “Necessary Rebel: A Trailblazer’s Blueprint” and due in September 2027. Walker, whose label dressed Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G., called it a blueprint for perseverance, creativity and ownership.
