School of Visual Arts in New York closes Photography MFA

The School of Visual Arts in New York has shuttered its Photography MFA, a postgraduate degree for working artists, ARTnews reported on 15 September 2026. The closure follows a US$22 million structural deficit, a shortfall in regular income and spending, described by ARTnews as the largest in the school's history.
