Stephen Root wins first Emmy for Widow's Bay, beating Harrison Ford

Grand Theft Auto VI actor Stephen Root won his first Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow's Bay at the 78th Emmy Awards announced September 14, 2026. Root, as Wyck opposite Matthew Rhys as Tom, beat Shrinking nominee Harrison Ford, Al Jazeera reported. Widow's Bay won six awards including Outstanding Comedy Series, the Academy said.
