Anthropic researchers put odds on AI extinction risk within 10 years

Three Anthropic researchers warned artificial intelligence could kill all humanity within a decade. One researcher, who resigned, estimated the chance at more than 10%, saying many others in the industry share fears of extinction without regulation. Their warnings followed OpenAI leaders describing AI as entering a scary, uncontrollable phase.
