Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz used Buffy the Vampire Slayer's 30th anniversary reunion at the 2026 Emmys to criticise Hulu for pulling the planned reboot. They presented lead actor in a limited or anthology series or movie at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Matthew Rhys won, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
