Variety calls Wilson Shedd Nelson's strongest film since The Grey Zone

Variety, in its review published 15 September 2026, called Tim Blake Nelson's 'The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd' a 'gripping, wrenching, dark-as-midnight crime drama'. Variety said the film, written and directed by Nelson, is his sixth feature and his strongest film since 'The Grey Zone' (2001).
